Explore the work. Discover the voices.
Five years. 24 Texas artists. One evolving conversation in form, material, and meaning.
Now celebrating its fifth anniversary, Texas Sculpts V brings together a dynamic group of sculptors from across the state, emerging artists, established voices, and makers working across generations, materials, and points of view.
The works in this year’s exhibition invite you to pause, look closely, and consider how sculpture can hold memory, identity, place, humor, tension, resilience, and transformation. From bronze, clay, wood, steel, fiber, and found objects to interactive and mixed-media approaches, each piece offers a distinct way of thinking through form.
What you see here is only the beginning. To fully experience the scale, texture, presence, and physicality of these works, we invite you to visit the ArtCentre of Plano in person this summer. There’s nothing quite like standing in a room with sculpture, surrounded by form, shadow, material, and the space in between.
