We are please to announce Plano-based Chamberlain Ballet joins the ArtCentre of Plano for this year's JumpStart for Arts summer art program, offering kids an immersive experience in visual art, musical theater, and creative movement.

JumpStart for Arts is targeted primarily at under-served youth in Plano and the surrounding community and serves as an important and enriching source of summer programming.
Arts and arts education play a pivotal role in shaping the holistic development of young students.
The arts help our students succeed in school and beyond. Students involved in the arts are:
Low-income students who are highly engaged in the arts are twice as likely to graduate college as their peers with no arts education.
Low-income students who are highly engaged in the arts are more likely than their peers with low arts involvement to obtain gainful employment.
Low socioeconomic status students with high arts involvement are 37 percent more likely to earn a Bachelors degree vs. 17% of their low arts involvement peers.
4 times more likely to be recognized for academic achievement
4 times more likely to participate in a math and science fair
Average almost 100 points better on their SAT scores for students who have taken four years of arts and music classes than students who take only one-half year or less.
