Interlaced Pathways Opening Reception
Join us at the ArtCentre of Plano for an opening reception with fiber artist artist Christine K. Miller on Friday, September 11 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Join us for an informal and insightful evening with artist Christine K. Miller as she discusses the work featured in Interlaced Pathways. Christine will share more about her inspiration, materials, techniques, and the ideas that continue to shape her practice.
Hosted by Suzy Jones, Executive Director of the ArtCentre of Plano, the conversation will offer a relaxed opportunity to hear directly from the artist and gain a deeper understanding of the work on view.

Join us for art, conversation, and a closer look at Texas Sculpts V. Our Friday evening artist panels will feature participating sculptors as they discuss their work, materials, creative process, and the ideas behind the pieces on view.
These informal conversations offer visitors a chance to hear directly from artists, ask questions, and experience the exhibition from a more personal perspective. Whether you are an artist, collector, student, or simply curious about sculpture, the panels are designed to be welcoming, engaging, and accessible.

Calling all Texas artists!
The ArtCentre of Plano invites you to submit original artwork for ArtCentre of Plano: For the Love of Art Exhibition 2026, a juried exhibition celebrating the creativity, perspectives, and visual stories of artists across Texas.
Presented at the ArtCentre of Plano in Historic Downtown Plano, For the Love of Art is more than an exhibition. It is the centerpiece of the ArtCentre’s month-long season-opening celebration dedicated to honoring creativity and enriching lives through the arts.
The exhibition brings together emerging and established artists working across a range of 2D and 3D media. Supported by patrons, local businesses, and art enthusiasts, the celebration shines a spotlight on the artists and stories behind the work.
About the Juror
We are thrilled to welcome Deborah Hartigan as the juror for the 2026 exhibition.
Deborah Hartigan is a Dallas-based abstract expressionist artist, sculptor, gallerist, curator, and art advisor with more than 40 years of experience as a practicing artist. She attended Boston College, studied in London, and earned her BFA from Hartford Art School at the University of Hartford. Inspired by the natural world, her work is held in collections in the United States and abroad and has been commissioned by collectors, interior designers, and corporate clients.
Hartigan founded DHV Artworks in 2016 and opened its 5,000-square-foot gallery in the Dallas Design District in 2021. Through DHV, she represents a select group of artists and advises private and corporate clients on commissions, art placement, and collection development. Her clients include American Airlines, which hired her to curate its DFW Flagship Lounge using works from its existing collection along with more than 20 additional artworks commissioned from Hartigan.
Her experience on both sides of the gallery process, as a working artist and as a curator, provides a thoughtful foundation for evaluating artistic intent, craftsmanship, presentation, and audience impact.

Texas Sculpts V Lunch & Learn
Join us for our popular Lunch and Learn series, a casual midday conversations where you’ll hear directly from the artists about their work, their materials, and what inspires them to create.
You’re welcome to bring your lunch—or not. Whether you come with a sandwich or just your curiosity, all are invited to spend the lunch hour surrounded by art and conversation.
The event is free and open to the public. A $10 donation to the ArtCentre, in support of Texas Sculpts V, is always appreciated.

Texas Sculpts V marks the fifth year of this signature exhibition celebrating the breadth and creativity of sculpture being made across Texas.
Jen Seibert - Artist Workshop
Ready to unleash your inner artist? Join painter and professor Jen Seibert for a hands-on oil painting workshop inspired by the changing light of the sky.
Using just Payne's gray, titanium white, and linseed oil, you'll create a stunning ombré painting while learning the same foundational technique behind her large-scale work in What I Paused For, What We Almost Missed.
No experience necessary — just wear paint-friendly clothes and come ready to slow down and see what emerges. Participation in the workshop is limited to the first 15 registrants at $25 person including all supplies.
Others are welcome to attend and observe.

Jen Seibert
Jen Seibert is a Texas-based visual artist whose work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, with showings and residencies spanning New York, Paris, Italy, and beyond.
With a background as a tenured professor and a current teaching practice in Plano, Seibert brings a research-driven approach that bridges studio work, community connection, and the realities of creating in a digitally driven world.
Judy Drotman Mother’s Day Celebration
Celebrate Mother’s Day in a meaningful way at the Judy Drotman Mother’s Day Celebration, one of the ArtCentre of Plano’s two annual fundraising events. This special afternoon honors Judy’s legacy, brings the community together, and helps support the ArtCentre’s mission and programs.
Awards Ceremony: Plano ISD AP Studio Art Senior Exhibition
Join us for the Awards Ceremony for the Plano ISD AP Studio Art Senior Exhibition, where students will be recognized for artistic excellence across a range of media.
The event celebrates the talent, hard work, and creative growth of these graduating seniors as their accomplishments are honored in this special exhibition program.

Plano ISD AP Studio Art Senior Exhibition
The Plano ISD AP Studio Art Senior Exhibition showcases the culminating work of graduating seniors in AP Art and Design. Developed over the course of a year through inquiry, experimentation, and revision, the exhibition highlights each student’s unique artistic voice while celebrating the strength, creativity, and dedication of Plano ISD’s young artists.
The community is invited to view the exhibition and explore the thoughtful, expressive work of these emerging artists.

Due to the potential for severe weather and out of an abundance of caution, this evening’s artist talk with Emmanuel Gillespie has been rescheduled for Friday, March 13, 6:30-7:30, at the ArtCentre.
Join us at the ArtCentre of Plano for an evening conversation with Dallas artist Emmanuel Gillespie, whose solo exhibition Joy is now on view.
Presented in partnership with Pencil on Paper Gallery (Dallas), this artist talk offers a chance to hear directly from Emmanuel about the ideas, process, and inspiration behind the work—and to experience the exhibition in a deeper, more personal way.
The discussion will be hosted by Suzy Jones, Executive Director of the ArtCentre of Plano, and Dr. Valerie Gillespie, Director of Pencil on Paper Gallery.

Emmanuel Gillespie, a visual artist with experience spanning painting and sculpture was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. With a rich educational background in scholarship and a profound focus on the Black experience in history, Gillespie’s work transcends mere artistic expression.
