The ArtCentre of Plano extends deepest sympathy to the Muns family on the loss of their family matriarch Dr. Betty Muns.
Betty was a lifelong supporter of the arts. She served for many years on the ArtCentre’s Board of Directors and Advisory Board and was an ardent and engaged participant. She was honored along with her husband James in 2009 with the For the Love of Art Patron Award and continued to volunteer actively with the ArtCentre for many years, hosting events in her home and serving as honorary chair of the organization’s first annual Mother’s Day Tea Party.
Dr. Muns’s legacy is a model of community service that demonstrated her lifelong commitment to the City of Plano. She leaves a legion of friends and admirers and will be sorely missed.
