Robyn Parker Feehan — Whisper of Stallions

$2,160.00

2025, Charcoal and Acrylic on Canvas, 36x48x2 in.

My process is as intuitive as it is intentional. I rarely begin with a fixed plan, allowing each painting to emerge through observation, instinct, and response. The materials guide the work as much as I do—water softens charcoal, acrylic obscures and reveals, and the surface records each decision. I have learned to trust this dialogue, knowing that some of the strongest passages arise unexpectedly. There is honesty in allowing the painting to unfold rather than controlling every outcome.

While horses remain my central subject, my work is ultimately about creating a place of stillness. In a world filled with constant movement and distraction, I hope these paintings offer a quiet pause for reflection. Through restrained compositions, muted earth tones, and expressive mark-making, I invite viewers to slow down, connect with memory and emotion, and find their own meaning within the work.
